A customer using a Wallet pass at a counter surrounded by independent neighborhood businesses

The local loyalty network

Customers join in seconds, keep one pass in Apple Wallet, and earn at the independent businesses they already love. Every new storefront makes the network more useful and more visible.

The network is the product

Every storefront makes every other storefront stronger.

TapBack is built to become familiar across a neighborhood. Members recognize the pass. Staff recognize the scan. Merchants gain a loyalty system that becomes more valuable as the local network grows.

01

One member identity

A customer does not need a new app or another signup ritual at every counter.

02

Separate merchant economics

Every business controls its own rewards, balances, locations, and customer relationship.

03

Shared neighborhood recognition

More TapBack signs and scans create familiarity, discovery, and a compounding reason to join.

No pass ceiling Neither plan caps the number of members or passes you can issue.
Any local category Food, fitness, beauty, retail, care, entertainment, and services.
Merchant-owned value Rewards and customer activity stay scoped to the business that earned them.

A pass built around real routines

One TapBack identity. A different reason to return everywhere.

The Network Pass gives members a familiar credential while each business runs its own program. Explore how the same member can move across a local week.

The launch flow

Fast enough for a coffee line. Detailed enough for the merchant.

TapBack launches with Apple Wallet and a simple 2D barcode scanner. No expensive certified contactless reader is required to start.

01 / Join

Scan once to join

The customer opens a TapBack enrollment link and receives a member credential without being forced to share contact details.

02 / Wallet

Add the pass

The signed pass lives in Apple Wallet. Its barcode contains a secure TapBack token, not a phone number or payment information.

03 / Checkout

Finish the sale

The cashier completes payment. A connected checkout or TapBack terminal opens the paid ticket for the member scan.

04 / Attach

Scan and award

The counter scanner reads the Wallet code. TapBack attaches points, amount, location, and item details supplied by checkout.

Contactless Apple Wallet presentation requires Apple VAS approval and compatible reader hardware. TapBack's QR launch path delivers the core signup, identification, and checkout association without waiting for that hardware program.

Try the member flow

Configure points, visits, or stamps around real behavior.

A real retention record

The pass is the front door. The member history is the business value.

TapBack captures the details merchants need to understand repeat behavior without forcing a phone-number exchange into every checkout.

Anonymous first, connected later

Express enrollment can issue a membership and Wallet pass first. Members can add a name, email, or phone from their dashboard later.

Consent is recorded by channel

Email and SMS permissions are explicit, separate, and reversible. A Wallet barcode never exposes contact or payment details.

Visits, spend, items, and locations

When checkout supplies the ticket, activity includes amount, line items, points, visit count, location, and timestamp.

Merchant boundaries stay intact

Each business sees its own member activity and consented relationship. Network participation does not expose another merchant's ledger.

Straight answers

What merchants need to know.

The initial product is intentionally QR-first, Apple Wallet-first, and honest about platform limits.

What does unlimited mean?

TapBack does not cap the number of members a business can enroll or the number of passes it can issue on either plan. Pricing is based on the business location and pass model, not on member bundles.

Is one Wallet pass limited to ten businesses?

No. The TapBack membership can be network-wide. Apple Wallet does limit how many locations can be configured as automatic relevance triggers on one pass at a time, but that is not a member or merchant cap. TapBack keeps business rewards in its network ledger and prioritizes useful locations instead of encoding every business as a permanent Wallet trigger.

Does every merchant see all of a member's data?

No. Each merchant receives its own activity, reward balance, and the contact details the member has consented to share with that merchant. A network identity does not give one business access to another business's transactions or customer relationship.

Do customers have to give a phone number or email?

No. Express enrollment can create the membership and Wallet pass first. The member may add email or phone later and separately choose whether to receive marketing through either channel.

How does a purchase connect to the member?

After payment, the connected checkout or TapBack terminal opens the paid ticket briefly. The customer presents the Wallet barcode, the scanner identifies the member, and TapBack awards the configured points while attaching the ticket details supplied by checkout.

Do we need expensive NFC hardware?

Not for launch. A basic compatible 2D barcode scanner can read the code shown in Apple Wallet. Direct contactless Wallet presentation requires Apple VAS approval and compatible certified hardware, so TapBack treats that as a later hardware path rather than a launch dependency.

Does TapBack work on Android?

The launch Wallet format is Apple Wallet. Android customers can use the web member experience, but Google Wallet is not part of the initial pilot promise. We will add platform support only when the full issue, update, and scan flow is production-ready.

What kinds of businesses can join?

Any independent local business where visits, spend, bookings, services, or referrals repeat. TapBack supports points, visits, and stamps, so the reward model can match cafes, salons, gyms, shops, pet care, auto care, entertainment, home services, and more.
